Southend Townhouse 14

A two-phase transformation of a historic 1890s South End townhouse for a family of four. Phase 1 reimagined a previously fragmented, builder-grade renovation into a refined, functional home, with a complete reconfiguration of the parlor level, relocation of the kitchen, addition of a pantry, expanded storage, and restored period details including a marble fireplace surround. A fully custom kitchen and layered furnishing plan balanced durability with character for everyday family life.

Phase 2, recently completed, reunited a duplex and triplex into a single five-story residence with roof deck and landscaped garden, reestablishing the home’s original single-family scale. This phase introduced a reimagined grand stair, new master suite, additional bedroom at garden level, top-floor library and game room with bar, and extensive exterior hardscape improvements. Custom stained glass-inspired transoms introduce color and light throughout, referencing the South End’s historic architectural language.
