Osterville Compound
A long-term master planning effort for a new build multi-parcel waterfront family compound on Cape Cod, organized around a historic 1860s cottage and surrounding structures. Phase 1 established the overall site strategy, including placement of a new guest house, future main residence, pool, tennis court, and connective landscape systems. A demolished structure was replaced with a new 3-bedroom guest house designed as a barn-like volume with double-height spaces, exposed beams, and wood-paneled interiors.
The interiors balance restraint and artistry, combining handcrafted elements with layered pattern and texture. Custom millwork, handmade tile from the Netherlands, and locally crafted furnishings define the interiors, while a lofted bunk room and open living spaces maximize flexibility and light.
