I’d Like to Buy a Vowel, Please

by Samantha House

I’ve been on the lookout for personalized gift items that are not only made-to-order, but also unique. My most recent discovery came when a few of my friends went on a trip to Las Vegas. I had barely uttered the words “How was your trip?” before I lunged for a silver letter “W” dangling on a delicate chain around my friend’s neck. She and her traveling companions had made a wonderful discovery: sterling-silver necklaces of any letter you choose.

Lucky for us, one of the “friends” that discovered these gems, owns a shop called Koo de Kir on Charles Street in Beacon Hill. That means that it won’t fall into the category of “I got it half way across the country…too bad for you.” Get one you yourself and all of your friends, A to Z.
