Shop on the Street
By Diane Daniel
Koo de Kir (from the French Coup de Coeur,
which refers to being smitten), celebrating its fifth anniversary next
month, remains a contemporary beacon on mostly traditional Charles Street.
Over the years, owner Kristine Irving has overseen a subtle change in
the stores emphasis from gifts to home furnishings and accessories.
Koo de Kir, both modernistic and warm, carries several European exclusives,
such as a line of Paola Lenti Italian wool rugs, throws and furniture,
and still carries a wide selection of affordable gift items.
